BuÅŸteni is a smaller mountain town of Central Romania, being situated in Prahova county. Its name literally means ``tree-logs`` in Romanian. This is one of the most popular mountain resorts. This place bursts with tourists all year round, because it offers both skiing and mountain climbing possibilities. There are many ski areas in BuÅŸteni, so it is surely the perfect destination for those who like this winter sport.

Apart from going to ski, there are other recreational possibilities in BuÅŸteni. Firstly, you can visit the Royal Church. This is an orthodox church, which really resembles the famous Horezu Monastery and is considered one of the most remarkable monuments in BuÅŸteni, due to its old age. The life-sized paintings of Carol I and queen Elizabeth, the founders of this church can be seen inside. Secondly, from BuÅŸteni you can get easily to the Heroes` Cross by taking the cable car. However, if you are afraid of heights, the Heroes` Cross is visible from this town. Moreover, you can go and visit the Sphynx, another wonder of the nature.

The Bucegi National Park is the place for nature-lovers, who can enjoy a lot of activities among fairy-tale surroundings. Last, but not least you wouldn't want to skip the Cantacuzino Castle, which from the point of architecture is in the top among the castles of Romania. This castle belonged to the prince Gheorghe Cantacuzino. Nowadays it is used by the Internal Ministry as headquarter, but it is said to be reset soon as a touristic attraction.

I hope that with all this information I`ve managed to convince you that BuÅŸteni is a worthwhile destination.
