Budapest Zoo

The Budapest Zoo and botanical garden is situated right in the heart of the Hungarian capital, being the oldest zoo parks of Hungary and one of the oldest in the world (after that of Antwerp, which is the oldest).

Usually I don't like to see animals in a cage, so I'm not a big fan of zoo parks, but this one really amazed me. There are more than 1000 animal species here and they are all kept in good conditions. Even the animals look happy at this zoo!

This zoo is a great place to visit if you are with kids and not only. You can easily spend a whole day here, without even noticing it! I absolutely loved the seal show, it was really fun and entertaining and the elephant house is in my opinion one of the highlights of the zoo. I was also fascinated by the butterfly garden, where there are around 100 different species of butterflies.

This zoo is a must if you're in the Hungarian capital, especially to those who love animals, it will surely make your day the way it did mine.

The entrance fee is around 8 euro for adults and 6 euro for kids, which is more than a fair price!Less
