Cafe del Oriente enjoys a great terrasse just in front of Palacio Real and the gardens of the Plaza del Oriente. The restaurant part of the Cafe del Oriente is installed in the old cavas of San Gil convent and very nicely decorated.

The restaurant serves refined Spanish cuisine, and the prices are relatively high for Madrid standards, count around 50 EUR/pers without drinks.

If you want to enjoy this great location and eat for less, you can still order less refined, yet popular, dishes at the Café part. For a café in such a nice location, prices are acceptable.

It's a nice place to be when visiting the Royal Palace or doing one of the walking tours passing by.
