Caru' cu Bere Beer-House

A beer-house with a tradition of more than 120 years, Caru'cu bere is the best place to eat and enjoy a great beer in Bucharest. Since it's opening in 1879, the beer-house looks today like the time stopped, the architecture, the serving, the atmosphere, music and food all remind you of the old little Paris, Bucharest.
The food here is truly worthy of being tried at least once, and I talking about every kind of food and not in general. Bucur's meal(some squash stuffed meat and with sour-cream) is my favorite and it's less than 6 euros. The bean soup with bacon served in a bowl made of bread is also extremely tasty and interesting. As a desert I always go with the apple strudel with wild berries sauce, an absolute king of deserts.

As far as the atmosphere, I have nothing to complain about. The flair of old and aristocracy is present by all means. Traditional music concerts and dances are some of the restaurants main events; but you will also enjoy violin concerts almost daily.
Events like weddings, private parties and business meeting can be organized here; just think about a 18 century style wedding taking place here.Less
