This gastronomic Chinese restaurant is located in the middle of nowhere, in a sort of tunnel in the 15th district of Paris. An usual location for a restaurant at this level of price and cuisine.

The inside decoration is sort of baroque traditional chinese, which denotes even more with the modern neighborhood.

The good part comes with the welcome and the quality of service, with a full explanation of the menu and during which we quickly understand about the quality of the food preparation. The surprise also was to have a French waiter rather than a Chinese one, very uncommon for a Chinese restaurant. Nevertheless, being a Maxim's alumni and having lived a few years in Beijin, he was perfectly capable of explaining the dishes.

Everything we had was good and freshly prepared, but if you go to Chen, you MUST take one particular dish: The Canard Pékinois or Beijin Duck, which is the house specialty and is superbly prepared and served,... in three different ways.
The ducks are specifically raised for the restaurant, from race that was created by the restaurant founder, a miw between beijin and british ducks.

Prices are quite high especially that Chinese restaurants in Paris are generally quite cheap, but at this price you expect high level food, and it is the case with the Canard Pékinois, one of the Best served in Paris. Maybe less for the rest.
