Council Tower

If you are in Transylvania or you plan on visiting it one of the towns you musn`t leave out is Sibiu. This town is beautiful and due to all the monuments, the open air museum, the zoo garden and the Brukenthal National Museum it is one of the most visited towns of Transylvania.

However, you have to climb up to the Council Tower, which is situated in the town square not far from the Brukenthal National Museum. If you can't find it you can always ask for directions, those from Sibiu will be more than happy to help you. Once you see the entrance into the Council Tower you will have to go up some stairs until you will see the man with the tickets. The price of a ticket in around 0.50 € and you can have also a look at the expositions held in a separate room. When I was visited the Council Tower I had the chance to see a 3D photo exposition, which was absolutely fantastic and definitely worth seeing. I have seen a lot of 3D movies, but I can't say that I've seen 3D photos. All the photos were taken during the International Theater Festival, a really well-known event in Sibiu.

After seeing the exposition the harder part begins, as you will have to climb all those stairs right to the top. I wouldn't recommend the Tower Council to those who are afraid of heights, because the truth to be told it is really high building. If you are comfortable with heights you can go !

Only when you will see the light you will realize that you've reached the top. There are four big windows and if you look out those windows you will see the different places of Sibiu. Seeing those places will definitely thrill you!Less
