Cube houses

In Dutch they are called Kubuswoningen, which would be an equivalent for Cube houses built both in Rotterdam and in Helmond in The Netherlands, though those in Rotterdam are more visited and popular than the ones in Helmond.

In Rotterdam you will find these Cube houses on the Overblaak Street in the Center of Rotterdam. There are 38 cubes attached to each other, and two of them are called super-cubes.

Because of the fact that on the outside they look so different from other houses people are curious to find out what is on the inside of these houses. And let`s be honest, who wouldn't like to see how is such a house furnished and decorated?
Residents are usually disturbed by all the curious visitors (what would you say if after a long day you would have to make your way among many tourists, just to be able to get into your house) In fact they just want to see what the Cube Houses are on the inside. Luckily, one of the owners decided to keep his house open to visitors. This way one of the Cube houses is always open to curious visitors.

Where did such an idea come from? - you might ask. Well, it was the idea of Piet Blom, who wanted a house to look like a tree, all the houses together forming a forest.
