Located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, Texas, Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) is the major art museum from Dallas.

First time the museum was located in the Dallas Public Library (1903) than in 1936 he was moved in Fair Park and then in 1984 he was moved in the Arts District. The new building of the museum was designed by Edward Larrabee Barnes (winner of the American Institute of Architects Gold Medal in 2007).

The Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) has a collection of more than 24000 objects, dating from the third millennium BC to the present day. The collections include works of art from around the world ranging from ancient to modern times.

1) Collection of Ancient Mediterranean Art - this collection includes Cycladic, Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Etruscan, and Apulian objects : paitings, statues, bronze sculptures, decorative objects, and gold jewelry
2) Collections of South Asian Art - this collection includes a range from Gandharan Buddhist art of the 2nd to 4th centuries AD, arts of the Mughal Empire from India but also pieces of art from Tibet, Nepal, and Thailand
3) Collection of European Art - in this collection you can admire: paintings, sculptures, etc. All the works dates since the 16th century until the 20th century. Here you will find some representative names like: Giulio Cesare Procaccini, Jean-Baptiste Marie Pierre, Paul Gauguin, Claude Monet, Constantin Brâncuși, etc
4) The Wendy and Emery Reves Collection – the beautiful collection is housed in an elaborate 15,000-square-foot (1,400 m²). This collection includes over 1,400 paintings, sculptures, and works on paper, dating from impressionism, post-impressionism, and early modernism. You can admire the work of the famous artists like: Paul Cézanne, Honoré Daumier, Edgar Degas, Paul Gauguin, Édouard Manet, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Auguste Renoir, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and Vincent van Gogh
5) African Collection – objects from the 16th to the 20th centuries, collected from West Africa and Central Africa.
6) The Ancient American Art - the collection covers more than three millennia, displaying sculptures, prints, terracotta, and gold objects from Panama, Colombia and Peru
7) The American Art Collection – this collections includes paintings, sculptures, and works on paper from the United States from the colonial period to World War II, and art from Mexico and Canada
8) The expansive collections of decorative arts and design – this collection includes over 8,000 works mostly from Europe and America in various media including furniture, ceramics, glass, textiles, and metalware.
