By walking down the main street of the old Souq and just after the Virgin gate you will find two great restaurants in this small square: Locanda and Feniqia both serving Lebanese creative cuisine.
As soon as you step in Feniqia the genuine decoration will strike you and actually made by the owner. You will often find him behind the counter, you can't miss him since he is the only guy with Harley-Davidson biker look.
The food is really good and always presented in a very creative way, yet with great taste. I particularly liked the meat vertically grilled like a Shawarma.
I also recommend the cheese rolls and the Mezzes which are hanged from the ceiling.
The service is as good as the food, very friendly and efficient. Nevertheless, they do not take any reservations in advance, when you get there you need to leave your phone number and they will call you as soon as a table is ready. In the meantime it is not a punishment to wonder in Byblos.
The only thing that annoyed me is that the place is quite noisy with Lebanese music quite loud. Many people enjoy this kind of atmosphere but I would have preferred it a bit less loud.
For the location, the quality of the food, and the atmosphere, Feniqia offers definitely a great quality price experience.Less
