Since summer has come botanical gardens should be on our lists of places to visit. I've seen many botanical gardens from Romania, but the one I enjoyed the most was the botanical garden situated in Jibou.

The Jibou Botanical Garden is huge so you can just wander around for hours or for an entire day without even noticing the passing of time. My personal favorite is the Small Japanese garden, not to mention the Big Japanese Garden. These gardens represent the perfect combination between nature and art, the essential elements being the water, the plants and the stones. There are five types of Japanese gardens at the Jibou Botanical Garden: the natural Japanese Garden,the flat Japanese Garden, the Japanese Garden with pond, the Japanese Garden from sand and stones and the Japanese Garden with tea house. The Botanical Greenhouses and the Roman Garden are also parts that are a must.

You can get easily to the Jibou Botanical Garden by taking the train from Cluj to Jibou. The road is no longer than 1 hour. In Jibou there are signs which will guide you to the botanical garden. Less
