The Great Market Hall situated in Budapest is one of the oldest Hungarian indoor markets.
When I visit a new country I like to dig in the culture and experience it as if I were one of its citizens. That's why I went to the Great Market Hall in Budapest as well.

It is right at the end of the Váci street, one of the most famous pedestrian and shopping street of the Hungarian capital. Don't hesitate to visit this place, you will not only learn many things about the Hungarian gastronomy, but will have the occasion to taste as much as you can.

The market is on three floors and you will find here many stalls of pastries, spices, meats or alcoholic beverages. Don't leave without trying the túró rudi (sweet cheese covered in chocolate) and the lángos (a deep fried snack).
For your information the market closes at 6 pm every working day, at 3 pm on Saturday. For your information on Sundays it is closed.
