High Museum of Art

The High Museum of Art, Atlanta, Georgia - the leading art museum in the Southeastern United States.

The museum was founded in 1905 as the Atlanta Art Association. The art museum was originally housed in the Mrs. Joseph M. Maxim family residence on Peachtree Street. Today the museum is composed of two separate buildings. Most of the exhibits are presented in the building designed by Richard Midtown Meir and the elements of folk art and photography are presented in the Georgia Center - Pacific.
