If you're looking for a cozy room with the best location and probably one of the best value for money in Salamanca, this is your hotel.

Casa Vallejo is a family-owned hotel located in the heart of Salamanca, less than 50 metres from Plaza Mayor (Main Square). The hotel is set in a 19th-century building but completely refurbished, the place is decorated in a traditional rustic style with wooden flooring and ceiling, perfect for the very cold winter in Salamanca!

The rooms are a bit small but if you're staying just for the weekend, you won't need more space. The hotel offers single and double/twin rooms at rates between 40-60€/night depending on the period, season and how much time in advance you book. Booking in advance is essential as the hotel has no more than 20 rooms and is usually full on weekends.

Breakfast is not included, but there is a bar downstairs where you can grab a quick coffee, if you prefer to have a full breakfast I suggest you go to any of the cafés in the Plaza Mayor (less than 3min walking) and if the weather is not very cold you can enjoy having breakfast outdoors in one of the many terraces, a hot chocolate at Las Torres will warm you up for sure!

Rooms have private bathroom, heating, free wi-fi but they don't come with A/C, so please bear this in mind before booking a room if you're going to Salamanca in summer as the weather is really hot between July and August. The staff is friendly but don't expect them to speak English very well. AMEX is not accepted.

In addition, the hotel bar and the restaurant are two of the best spots in town if you wish to try some traditional tapas and local cuisine.Less
