House of Terror

The Hungarian people will for ever remember the dictatorial regimes that brought dark years for the country. The fascist and communist dictatorial regimes are now just memories and the House of Terror is a memorial to the victims of these regimes.

You will find here detailed exhibitions and reconstruction of of the main events of those years, about the people that made a difference during those times, people who were tortured, interrogated and killed in this building.

The permanent exhibition also brings into light details about the Arrow Cross Party the ÁVH. Their plans, believes, how they worked and what horrifying things they used to do during their time of power. What you can find here cannot be explained into words. If you are a person that would like to know more about history and what regimes like the ones that the House of Terror focuses on than you should pay it a visit.
