Situated in teh yown of Bitola, Macedonia, the Yeni Mosque, was built in 1558 (XVI century) by Kadi Mahmud-Efendi.

The mosque name comes from the Turkish language, where the word "Yen" means "new".

They say that was built on the foundations of an old Islam church. The mosque has two floors and above, rises a tower of 40 m. This tower can be visited by the tourists, and from its top you can admire the beautiful view of the city but also its surrounding regions.

Currently, the mosque has become a major art gallery. The rooms from on the second floor are often transformed in art exhibitions.
