Whenever I think of the Netherlands the first picture that pops into my head are those wonderful and well-preserved windmills and the spectacular view where they are situated in. The Netherlands wouldn't be the same without them that's for sure!

If you want to find those beautiful windmills in the Netherlands you should go to Kinderdijk. This is the place of windmills!

We can say that Kinderdijk is a village. It is situated in South-Holland, at about 15 kilometers from Rotterdam, but it is really close to Amsterdam as well. If you are in Rotterdam, you can get there by bicycle, but if you are farther there are trains, although you will have to take a bus as well. Kindersijk is a UNESCO World Heritage site and once you see it, you will know that it definitely deserves that title. It is wonderful to see so many windmills and an environment that is simply mesmerizing.
