La Jacobine is the place I would go when I am near Odéon, and when I want to eat a good salad or some coocked dishes at a reasonable price;

First, the location. In a small back street linking Place de l'Odéon and Rue Saint André Arts. The street is super old and authentic, and you'll find just next to La Jacobine the oldest restaurant in Paris - Le Procope, inaugurated in 1686!

The restaurant is small and very cute, with simple but warm decoration. The food is all coocked in the restaurant, including the deserts, which becomes relativly uncommon in Paris at this price level.

Besides some typical french dishes, you'll find some other ones with Moroccan or exotic flavours;

I recommand you the salads, which are very generous, the Raviole de Royale, and the Souris d'agneau.

The service is OK for this highly touristic neighborhood of Paris and the price is reasonable for generous plates.

I never was disappointed there.
