Kaiseki is a mixture of Gastronomic restaurant, take a way Bento, japanese boutique, sushi school and tea shop;

The chef, Hisayuki Takeushi is one of the most famous Japanese chefs in Paris; He initially became a French cuisine chef and than decided to come back to Japanese cuisine, revisiting with his own touch;

The restaurant is in a small pedestrian street in the 15th district, far from touristic areas; It looks more like a Tea shop and a fast food restaurant than a gastronomic restaurant. The kitchen is in the middle of the restaurant, openned, but without a way to sit and watch the chef working while eating;

A very polite Japanese lady served us, she was very polite, but not very efficient, since she forgot to give us plates and towels, soja sauce,... Let's say the service is similar to a fast food restaurant.

The food came, and it is definitly the best sushi, Sashimi, maki and Bento I had in Paris; Excellent products and creative preparation with new tastes;
It's a pitty that the restaurant is so expensive, at least at night, with 70 EUR the cheapest menu (without drinks or desert) and going up to a 170 EUR menu; For this price, you can go to the Benkay, which looks much more like a gastronomic restaurant and is 10 minutes walking from there, with a beautiful view on the Seine River.
