Opened in October 2003, Mori Art Museum is today one of the most generous spaces for contemporary art and culture from Asia. "A place for reflecting on art and life". Minoru Mori, owner of the new district of Tokyo, Roppongi Hills, spent 17 years of his life and more than 2.5 billion dollars for the idea of building "a city within a city"; those over 28 hectares in the city center includes a residential area, a hotel, 200 shops and restaurants, office buildings - Mori Tower, Kohn Pedersen Fox works by Manhattan Associates - a TV company, and various other places for entertainment and the museum - built on floors 52-53 of the glass tower which dominates the landscape of Roppongi Hills - is already considered as the center of creativity of the 21st century.
