Mori Art Museum

Mori Art Museum - 森美術館 Mori Bijutsukan - a contemporary art museum founded by the real estate developer Minoru Mori in the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower of Tokyo.

The Mori Art Museum is located on the 52nd and 53rd floors of the Mori Tower in the Roppongi Hills complex, offering spectacular views.

The Mori Art Museum is very large and the exhibitions are world-class, focused mainly on contemporary culture .

With no permanent collection the Mori Art Museum displays a large variety of exhibitions like: paintings, photography, fashion, architecture, research projects, pubic programs and other genre-straddling activities focused on contemporary art.

The Mori Art Museum is designed as a cultural complex, where the art is proposing a new definition: "the perfect fusion between esthetic, intelligence and technology".

Opened in October 2003, Mori Art Museum is today one of the most generous spaces for contemporary art and culture from Asia. "A place for reflecting on art and life". Minoru Mori, owner of the new district of Tokyo, Roppongi Hills, spent 17 years of his life and more than 2.5 billion dollars for the idea of building "a city within a city"; those over 28 hectares in the city center includes a residential area, a hotel, 200 shops and restaurants, office buildings - Mori Tower, Kohn Pedersen Fox works by Manhattan Associates - a TV company, and various other places for entertainment and the museum - built on floors 52-53 of the glass tower which dominates the landscape of Roppongi Hills - is already considered as the center of creativity of the 21st century.
