Here's one of my favourite places in Madrid where I like to chill out in the evening, at one of the nice restaurants' terrasas around the square.

The beautiful Statue of the man holding a bird is of the Poet Federico Garcia Lorca, one of the most famous of the "Generation 1927" and the Marble one is of Calderon de la Barça, one of the most famous spanish writers. You'll find his name on the top of the Theater present on the other side of the Plaza.

It's a great meeting place just a bloc away from Puerta del Sol, with many nice bars and restaurants around such as the Cerveceria Alemana, Villa Rosa, Lateral, Cinco Jotas or other new and trendy bars…
