Prague is one of the cutest cities I have visited. Capital and largest city of the Czech Republic it is also the historical capital of Bohemia. Situated in the north-west of the country on the Vltava river, the city is home to about 1.3 million people.

Prague's history goes back to more than 2000 years, and since then it witnessed several glorious moments, which made it a fantastic city, holding beautiful monuments and a very interesting architectural mixture.

Prague has been a political, cultural, and economic hub of central Europe with good and bad fortunes during its existence. Founded during the Romanesque period, it significantly grew during the Gothic and Renaissance eras. Prague was not only the capital of the Czech state, but also the seat of two Holy Roman Emperors and thus then also the capital of the Holy Roman Empire. It was also an important city to the Habsburg Monarchy and its Austro-Hungarian Empire.

This rich history can be found in a number of famous cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of 20th century Europe. This who struck me the most are You have of course the Charles Bridge, absolutely amazing, the Prague Castle, and the Old Town Square which is included in the UNESCO world heritage sites. The Jewish Quarter, the Lennon Wall, and Petřín hill are also worth a visit.

In addition, you will enjoy in the city more than ten museums, as well as numerous theatres, galleries, cinemas, and other historical exhibits. I would definitely recommend assisting to a concert in one of the numerous beautiful Churches or the Opera house.
For young visitors wanting to have fun, Prague is a great place. You will enjoy nice bars where drinks are really cheap compared to western European cities. Not to forget about the beauty and friendliness of the Czech people.

The city has a convenient public transportation system, is clean and relatively safe.

Well, it is definitely not a hazard that Prague is the sixth-most-visited city in Europe.
