Quetzal chocoladebar

"There is more to life than chocolate, but not right now!" - this is the sentence I read as I walked by this chocolatebar in Ghent and I thought that this is so right that it could be the motto of all my vacation in Belgium. The truth to be told, no matter where you travel in Belgium, it will always be about chocolate, beer and french fries, though I'd say that the former rules the other two out.

In Belgium, everything is about chocolate! You can't take one single step without seeing a chocolate shop and since you see one, you can't resist the temptation of trying out some new chocolate. And just when you think that you are through with chocolate you run into this sentence, written on the window of a chocolate bar and it turns all your plans around.

Like me, you won't resist watching from outside and not going in to try out some wonderful drinks with chocolate. The chocolate bar itself is little, but really cozy and once you read through the menu you will understand its passion for chocolate.

All the items on the menu are prepared freshly, on a daily basis and you have a great variety to choose from: chocolate milks, choctails, milkshakes, ice cream coupes, as well as refreshments or chocolate fountain.

If you do not know what to choose from all those goodies, I would suggest the Quetzal chocolate milk, made of four different kinds of chocolate, but you can also try some chocolate milk with spices. However, if you want something on basis of alcohol, than the Baily choc is for you, being made of Baileys and Chocolate Jenever. It's absolutely fabulous!

All in all, if you are looking for something out-of-the-ordinary you can definitely go for this chocolate bar. It can be found not only in Ghent, but in Leuven and Antwerp as well.
