Setenil de las Bodegas

Setenil is a truly unique village situated in Southern Spain. When I first heard of this village it seemed really bizarre, out of the ordinary, but I am very glad I've decided to give it a try and visit it. The uniqueness of this village is that some of the houses are build under big rocks, having olives on their roofs and the ones that are not built under rocks are painted in white, looking like rocks.

Although it is a unique place a maximum of 2 days of wandering is just enough to explore it. Walking on the streets of Setenil can get a little scary as well, especially when you will observe huge rocks above you, but in the same time you will be amazed. Be careful if you go by car, because the parking access in the town is limited. I think that you need to book a place in advance, I wasn't with a car, so I'm afraid I don't have much information on that.
