Did you think that the only Arch of Triumph is to be seen in Paris? Well, think again, as there is one similar in Bucharest as well. It is situated on the Kiseleff Road in the Northern part of the capital.

Before this final arch there were two temporary ones. The first one was wooden and built after the time Romania gained its independence and the victorious troops marched under it. The second one was built after World War I, but had to be demolished to make place for the Arch of Triumph that we know today.

Though in my opinion it is not as spectacular as the one in Paris, it`s worth visiting! If you are in Bucharest on the 1st of December, Romania`s national day, you can witness a military parade held beneath the arch.
