The Bigar Cascade Falls

Bigar cascade from Caras-Severin was listed among the most beautiful destinations in the world. Bigar cascade became widely known after 2013, when it was declared as the most beautiful waterfall in the world by the American website "The World Geography" "which was placed first in their top of the most impressive waterfalls in the world".
Earlier, in 2010, "National Geographic Traveler," an international tour guide, was making the first referral about this waterfall in the tourist specialised press.
The waterfall is located at 12 kilometers from the town of Bozovici and is part of the National Park Nera Beuşniţa. The waterfall is formed by an underground spring water running down a limestone wall shaped like a cone, about 7-8 meters high, completely covered by moss.
Located in the National Park Nera - Beusnita in Caras-Severin, Minis Valley, halfway between localities Anina and Bozovici on Route 57B, Bigar cascade is basically where Bigăr fount flows into the river Minis. In Banat, the intermittent spring locals are calling it as a spring where the water comes out from beneath the rock.
My recommendation is to visit the place outside the holiday season, when there are no leaves, because only then you will enjoy, and feel the charm of the place. Otherwise, even in a gloomy day end of November, when gave to darken, tourists were plenty around, not necessarily the ones that will be your greatest pleasure to meet them, true that at that time there was no visiting fee. In order to see Bigar cascade you do not necessarily have to pay 5 euro. It is enough to stop on the National Road 57B, next to the 45th parallel, and have a look. But if you came all the way till here, it's a shame not to pass through the wooden gate, to see the waterfall from above or from aside, or to take a walk till where the Izbucul Bigar spring and see from where comes the wonder downstream or to climb very careful towards the Grotto at Bigar, all of these for just a few minutes' walk away from road, the opening in the heart of Minis Gorge. The surrounding scenery is fabulous, and you can't otherwise until you reach the waterfall, regardless from any direction you will approach this wonderful waterfall place.
Less
