The Ceahlău National Park

The moment you are on a getaway in the mountains of Romania, you will understand what I mean by saying that their beauty is almost unreal. The Ceahlău National Park is included in the category of beautiful places and in the list of places that you should see once you are visiting this country.

The most important part of the Ceahlău National Park is the Ceahlău Massif, which is one of the most well-known mountain rages of Romania being part of the Eastern Carpathian Chain and pertaining to Neamţ county, which is located in the Moldavia region of the country. If you visit this place you will have the chance to hike and discover the beautiful scenery of the county, visit monasteries and museums.

The CeahlÇŽu Massif is accessible any time of the year and it offers always a different scenery depending on the season. Its highest peaks are the Toaca Peak and the Bicaz Gorge. Although it can be visited every season, summer is the season which attracts the highest number of visitors, perhaps because nothing can be compared with admiring the sunrise on the mountain top. The flora and fauna of this place can make for another reason to visit it, there are many flowers and over 90 bird species. With a little luck you will be able to spot many of them. I am not that interested in birds, but I was really taken by surprise when I saw how many different bird species there are.

Beside the Ceahlǎu Massif, the Ceahlău National Park has many other attractions as well, like the Dochia rock formations, Cuşma Dorobantului or the Duruitoarea Waterfall.

All in all, I can only recommend the CeahlÇŽu National Park, in my opinion it is a wonder of nature.
