Although art museums are a little boring for me I`ve visited the Kröller-Müller Museum because I definitely love the works of Van Gogh. The museum was founded by Helene Kröller-Müller and opened to the public in the year 1938.
This museum is certainly worth a visit if you are a fan of Vincent van Gogh, because after the Van Gogh Museum it has the second largest collection of the artist`s paintings.
The founder, Helene Kröller-Müller started collecting the works of van Gogh, donating her entire collection to the state in 1935. Famous works that can be admired in this museum are The Potato Eaters, Cafe Terrace at Night etc. The museum`s collection goes beyond Van Gogh with the paintings of artists like Piet Mondrian, James Ensor or even Pablo Picasso.
Besides de Van Goghs I really enjoyed the sculpture garden, which has one of the finest collection of contemporary art in Europe.

You should know that the Museum is surrounded by the Hoge Veluwe National Park, which is the perfect place for a relaxing stroll. If you go to the museum my advice would be to visit the Hoge Veluwe National Park first, you can do this by taking one of the white free bikes (be careful and choose you bike good as you will use it for quite some time) and you will have plenty of time in the afternoon for the museum.

All in all, visiting the Kröller-Müller Museum can be a wonderful experience. I totally recommend it!
