I recommend this little town in Belgium to all those who are in love with the Renaissance culture and who want to witness a town that has well preserved this period. Of course, it cannot be compared to the well-known Belgian towns like Brugge, Ghent or Bruxelles, but it's worth visiting.

The distinctive mark of this town is the yellowish brick in which the majority of the buildings are covered. I absolutely adore those well conserved buildings, that's why in my mind Veurne is a beautiful ``vintage`` town... and everything which is old has a history and if there is a history there is a story as well. I think that it's the story behind this town that makes you eager to discover it. Be sure to visit the town square, where you will find the old court of justice as well as the town-hall, which are really interesting buildings.

Veurne is situated at 10 km from the North Sea coast and at approximately 1 hour from Ghent and 1 h 30 m from Bruxelles.
