Eze

When I first visited Eze, I immediatly fell in love with this super charming small typical french village on the french cote d'azur.

This village is part of what we call the "Villages Suspendus", old fortified villages built on hill tops dominating either the sea or beautiful country side; It is almost half way between Nice and Monaco, 11 kms from Nice.

From Eze, you have probably one of the most beautiful sea views of the French Riviera, culmintaing at around 500m above sea level on a steep hill;

Wandering around this beautiful village is definitly a must. You will enjoy the charming streets and houses, the botanical garden, the church and many restaurants.

You have 14 restaurants in the village, going from the fastfood to the Chateaux Eza 1 star Michelin and the 5 stars Relais & Chateau La Chèvre d'Or.

If you want to enjoy the most beautiful views of Eze and chill out a bit, you can still take an afternoon coffee at Chateaux Eza terrasse or in Le Café du Jardin of the Chèvre d'Or; It will probably the most expensive coffee you paid for, but it's worth the place.

If you're the son of a banker, than you can stay in Chateaux Eza or La Chèvre d'or for an unforgettable experience (rooms with Jaccuzis with the breathtaking sea view). La chèvre d'or seems better as a hotel, and the Chateaux Eza a better table. In both cases, keep in mind that these two hotels are in very old houses and some inconveniences due to the historical site can occure (many stairs, plumbing issues,...).

The visit of this medieval village is done walking throught its narrow streets, making the visit a bit sporty for elder people and difficult for handicaped.
