The Green Valley is a squandered village in the Apuseni mountains in the commune of Sohodol, in Alba County.

The village of Green Valley is located in a picturesque area of the Apuseni Mountains at an altitude of 900 m, between the springs of the rivers Aries Mic and Crişul Alb. The village is part of the ethno-folkloric area, Ţara Moţilor, an area with rich traditions and customs. The village is composed of groups of households which forms "crîngurile".

The traditional occupations of the inhabitants of this area are cattle raising, agriculture and wood processing. Here the people live in communion with nature.

The beauties of the nature, the wealth and variety of flora and fauna, the mountain streams, the fresh air and the locals with the old habits and traditions and the archaic households make the whole area a paradise.

The interest of the German tourists for this area is over 10 years old. The University of Nuremberg in collaboration with professor Ioan Sicoe developed a project called "Agenda 21", by which the representatives of the institution from Germany promoted the preservation of the beauties which they met in the hamlet of the Apuseni Mountains. Every year, Green Valley hosts the German motorcyclists which take part in a competition in Apuseni.
