The Dragons Garden (Gradina Zmeilor) - Salaj County

Dragons' Garden is a protected area of national interest. It is also a natural, geological and landscape reservation, situated in Salaj county, on the administrative territory of Balan.

The natural protected area is located in the central eastern part of the Salaj County, at 10 km from Jibou, in western territory of the Gâlgau Almas Almasului, and covers an area of 5 hectares.

Here, you can admire the effect of weather conditions on structures of conglomerates and sandstones.
It is a phenomenon in full swing, which means that the landscape can change from year to year. We are greeted by many huge rocks, buildings, towers, poles, rocks shaped, fungi and animals.

The two most spectacular cliffs were named Zmeul and Zmeoaica. From the terrace of above them you can see all the rocks, after which you can descend to the base blocks.

The circuit through the Dragons' Garden takes approx. 3:00. Less
